Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 October 2026

This page explains what happens to information when you visit mylibook.com. I write first-deposit and beginner guides here, and I re-walk each step on a real account before publishing. The same care applies to this policy. If anything below is unclear, the contact page is the place to ask.

Know what this site collects

mylibook.com runs on WordPress, and a standard WordPress install handles a small set of data. That is what you can expect here.

Server logs
Our host records each request, which normally includes your IP address, your browser’s user agent string, the page you asked for, and the time of the request. Hosts keep these logs for security and troubleshooting.
Cookies
If you log in, WordPress sets cookies to remember your session and your screen preferences. These are functional cookies tied to your account.
Comments
If comments are open on a page and you leave one, WordPress stores what you type, your name, and your email address, along with your IP address for spam filtering.

Read what this site does not do

This site does not sell your data, and it does not trade it for anything else of value. As of the date at the top of this page, no advertising scripts and no analytics scripts are loaded by the site itself. If that changes, this page changes first, and the date moves with it.

Follow a link off this site

Some pages link to other websites, including the helplines listed below. Once you leave mylibook.com, the privacy policy of the site you land on applies, and I cannot speak for how that site handles your information. Read its policy before you hand over any details.

Check how long data stays

Server logs are kept by our host for a limited period and then rotated out. Comment data stays while the comment stays published, unless you ask for removal. Account cookies last as long as your session or your login preference allows. I do not set retention periods myself beyond what the software does by default.

Use your rights

Under Canadian privacy law, and for visitors covered by the GDPR, you can ask to see the personal data this site holds about you, ask for corrections, and ask for deletion. To raise a request, use the details on the contact page and say what you want done. I will confirm what I can and cannot action.

Confirm your age before you read on

This site is for adults only. In Canada that means 18+ in some provinces and 19+ in others, so check your own province’s rule. If you are under the legal gambling age where you live, please close this page.

Work through a request in five steps

  1. Open the contact page and note the request type: access, correction, or deletion.
  2. Describe the data in question, such as a comment you left or a login account.
  3. Send the message from an address that matches the one you used on the site.
  4. Wait for a reply confirming what was found and what will be done.
  5. Follow up if anything in the reply is unclear or incomplete.
